Welcome to Yarrawonga Cattle Co, home of the Yarrawonga Santa Gertrudis and the Proven Performer.
The Yarrawonga aggregation spans across 100,000 hectares of prime Queensland country and is responsible for producing some of Australia’s best quality beef, seed stock and produce. Our love for the Santa Gertrudis breed started in 1956 when the Yarrawonga Santa Gertrudis Stud No. 28 was established. The breed has been at the forefront of our commercial cattle and stud cattle business spanning across 3 generations of skilled cattlemen and women and is the pinnacle of our future.
Our 67th annual bull sale is nearly here! We look forward to seeing you at ‘Yarrawonga’ on 23 September 2026.
Our catalogue is now available for download.
The Ekka 2025 was another great event with Yarrawonga adding a few more ribbons to the collection.
Yarrawonga Santa Gertrudis was proud to take top honours in the following categories :
Yarrawonga Marshmallow
Yarrawonga Ned U544 (IVF) (PS)
Raffie and Jack Bassingthwaighte with Yarrawonga Marshmallow during the ribbon presentation for 2025 Senior Champion Santa Gertrudis Female.
The Yarrawonga team had a great time learning new skills, making friends and reaping the rewards of their hard work of quietening the cattle to head to Santa Camp. Andrew enjoyed sharing his knowledge of animal selection and presenting the finalist and winner of the Sir James Walker Championship Judge, Florence Milbank. Thank you to all for making this such a great event.
